Vacation Roundup

If you'd like to skip my blabbering and get right to the photos, here they are. Well, we're back. Sigh. OK, I had really planned on writing a detailed recap of our trip to Playa del Carmen. Really. But I ran into a few problems. It takes a long time to write a detailed recap of a 7-day vacation. The longer you wait to write a detailed recap, the more the details start to fade So there you have it. instead, you get some highlights and random notes... We had a great time I got super sunburned - and just might have learned my lesson this time Cancun was just not for me "Una para Dos" was for me Playa del Carmen is beautiful, but the multitude of ...

Screw this, we’re going to Mexico.

Deep down, there was a little part of me that was hoping there would be another snowstorm so I could write this post. (Mind you, a very, very small part.) After the 4th major snowstorm of 8 or more inches this winter, I had all I could stand, so we booked a little vacation to the beaches of Sunny Mexico. Two weeks from tomorrow, I'll be sitting on a lounge chair on a beach drinking fruity drinks 'till I can't drink fruity drinks no more. It's a 4+ hour drive, and hit the ...

R.I.P. - 2003 - 2006

Sadly, a loyal, trusted, and beloved member of my family didn't make it back from our trip to Aruba. My moccasins were last seen during a para-sailing expidition on Thursday, February 9th 2006, and are believed to be lost at sea. Although my dear friends will be missed, an intense search is now underway for replacement leisure footwear.

Random Stuffs

The Chuck returned from Europe on Sunday, and brought with him a very special gift for moi - a French language version of a "24" graphic novel (not a "comic book"). How cool is that?! Now I have a reason to learn to read French. Although I think I understand the story already, just by looking at the pictures - Jack Bauer kicks some ass. Have you seen that annoying AOL commercial yet? (Unless you've been in a consistent vegetative state, I'm sure you have). By my count, they're running 3 versions of it - one full, and 2 trimmed down. If I hear that dumb ass saying "Spamity Calamity!" one more ...
