From the fox.com website: THE ONLY TIME YOU'LL GET THREE CHANCES! Since this episode is so important, you can catch an encore of show 4.16 "10p-11p" on Friday 4/8 @ 9/8c and on Sunday 4/10 9/8c (But don't get used to the repeats...)
The Chuck returned from Europe on Sunday, and brought with him a very special gift for moi - a French language version of a "24" graphic novel (not a "comic book"). How cool is that?! Now I have a reason to learn to read French. Although I think I understand the story already, just by looking at the pictures - Jack Bauer kicks some ass. Have you seen that annoying AOL commercial yet? (Unless you've been in a consistent vegetative state, I'm sure you have). By my count, they're running 3 versions of it - one full, and 2 trimmed down. If I hear that dumb ass saying "Spamity Calamity!" one more ...
I just stumbled across a new post at Ain't It Cool News partially titled "Want To See The Promo For 24 4.1??". Agh!!! No... musn't... click... link... avoid... spoilers... I'll try to avoid them for as long as I can, but I have a strange suspicion that at some point between now and January, I'll break down and watch the damn things. For my own good, I hope they get pulled down before I break down. Update Well, I broke down and watched the trailers. They didn't give too much away. I'm very hopeful that this season is better than last. Although Season 3 was still better than 95% of anything on TV. While I was at it, I found a ...
Tonight is what I'll consider the kickoff of the fall TV season. First up, at 7:00 CST on ABC, Lost. It's a show about a group of people who survive a plane crash, but are "lost" on a remote island. Mayhem ensues. It was created by J.J. Abrahms, who's also responsible for a little show called "Alias". Based on some of the reviews it's gotten already, Lost should be the best new show of the season. Over on NBC, it's the season premiere of Law & Order. It's never been the smartest show on TV, but it's certainly fun to watch. Unfortunately, last season saw the end of the road for Lenny - easily my favorite character ...
The Chuck just informed me that tonight's regularly scheduled episode of 24 will be pre-empted by the Presidential Address... and it's being moved to 8:00 PM Sunday night - opposite Alias (and the Sopranos). Shit! I might have to run out and buy a Tivo this week. 24 started out slowly this year, but has been picking up steam. Keifer has been quoted as saying that the final 9 episodes of this season are the best the show has ever produced. Meanwhile, Alias is *finally* putting an end to the Lauren's double-agent schtick - and David Carradine is back this week... These are the only 2 shows that I'll bother rearranging my schedule around. I'm not sure what to do here... Of course, the capper is that, not only will 24 not be on tonight, the only thing on tonight will be W. - probably damage control after the last few days worth of testimony and findings from the 9/11 commission. Speaking of W., has anyone seen the ridiculous commercial he's running? Old (40s?) black & white footage, with a voice-over harping on Kerry's "gas-tax" hike? Is that all he has to run on? Taxes - that's what you've got? Taxes is probably issue #53 on my list right now.
