Coming Soon

It's a good bet that if you're in the area near Mauston, Wisconsin this coming weekend you'll see a little bit of this: There's a few more photos from our trip "Up Nort'" a few weekends ago in this photo album @ Picasa, "Cabin Weekend", and I would check back early next week for more from this weekend's camping trip Extreme Wilderness Challenge II.

Lance Armstrong has just won the Tour de France. Does anyone have his phone number?

Note: My alternate title for this post was "The Greatest Outdoor Band In The History" Yeah, that's right... Perry Frickin' Ferrell. Thanks to a quick heads-up from Judy, I was able to make it over to Beans & Barley this afternoon for a free show in their parking lot. Satellite Party is playing at the Pabst tonight, and they're apparently trying to drum up some interest in the show - I saw someone walking around handing out tickets. Anyways, it was fun. Instead of walking home for lunch, as I usually do, I got over there and decided to grab a sandwich inside. Perry was walking around ...

Photos

I've been flip-flopping on how best to share photos online. I've been using Adobe Lightroom at home to import, tweak, and manage my photos. The only thing Lightroom is lacking is the ability to post directly to an online service. Then it turned out that the widget didn't play all that well with Flickr, so I scrapped that and tried using the open source app Gallery. It's nice, but a lot of work to set up and customize. Plus, I still had to export photos from Lightroom and upload to Gallery. ...

Watch Out, Wildlife…

That's right, Northern Wisconsin, I'm coming back - and almost a year to the day. Last year I took out the Kuchina Bear. This year, maybe it's Rudolph. Who knows. Just watch your back...

F*&^n’ Zombies!

This past weekend, I knocked off Resident Evil IV: Wii Edition. Honestly - a little disappointed with the ending! The final level was a bit too easy. Still a ton of fun saving the President's daughter and shooting up some zombies, though. From what I recall of playing it on Chuck's GameCube last summer, the Wii controls were much, much easier to play with. Anyways, I may have finished, but I'm not done. My first time though the game was on the "normal" setting - I'm about to start back in on the "professional" level. Once that's been beaten, I'll unlock a few additional game modes. Should keep me busy until Football season starts.
