Pull up a seat

My Old ChairFor the longest time, I’ve been sitting on an this $99 Sam’s Club office chair. It was one of my first purchases after moving back to the lower 48, going on almost 10 years now. The chair has seated me well, but over the last 6 months, the gas in the cylinder post has started to go. I’ll sit down in the morning at full height, and by 9:00 AM, I’m looking up at the keyboard, which has started to cause some back and neck issues.

So, today I made a trip out to Brookfield - Office Max, Office Depot, Office Warehouse, Office World, Office Universe, Office-O-Rama, and Office Outlet are all within a mile stretch of each other on Bluemound Road. Just to be on the safe side, as long as I was out (and it was such a nice day), I ran out to the American and Steinhaffel’s on the (former) Highway 164. Just for the record, those places had squat.

My New ChairIf money were no issue, I’d be writing this entry from a brand new Herman Miller Aeron chair. Unfortunately, money is an issue, so I’m not. I did find a very nice chair at Office Depot for a good price. It’s sturdy - heavy steel construction - and stylish. It’s also comfortable, which is the most important factor when you’re sitting on your ass for 10 hours a day.

  3. A few weeks ago one of my co-workers got a new chair to cushion her back and rear-hinder. It was a nice chair, so I bitched and moaned a little bit about it. Normally, I’m not proud to admit I did some bitching and moaning but it ended up getting me my own brand new chair for the cushioning and the comforting of my own back and rear-hinder. Good times.
