It’s been a good new year so far. However, I just logged into my eBay account to see how an item I’m selling was doing, and saw that my feedback rating had dropped 1 point. How could that be? (Who don’t like Bryan?)
Almost 4 weeks ago, I posted an item for sale by auction on eBay - a TV tuner card I wasn’t using as much as I thought I was. It was a 7-day auction, and ended with a high bid of something like $25. I sent the buyer an “invoice” through the eBay system, and waited. And waited. And waited. After a full week and 4 different e-mails to the buyer, I gave up and filed a claim with eBay.
EBay offers a “non-paying buyer’s credit” for these situations. If you have a buyer who doesn’t pay for an item on which they bid, you file a claim and eBay tries to square it away with the buyer. After 1 full week, the buyer STILL hadn’t responded to anyone. At this point, eBay credits you for whatever it will take to relist your item for auction. As soon as my 1-week was up, I applied for the credit, and received it. Then I posted my feedback for this buyer:
NON-PAYING BIDDER!!! never responded to emails. DONT SELL TO THIS JERK!!
So when I logged on this evening and saw my feedback rating had dropped, I went to see why. This jackass had finally logged back into eBay, and thought that he would take it out on me by leaving negative feedback:
This person does not respond to e-mail etc . very poor ebayer don”t deal with!!!
What a jackass. Now, it’s not a big deal - I know that. But I have no recourse except to respond to his (false) feedback about me. Which I did.
It just irks me that this fucker can pull - and get away with - this kind of behaviour over a $25 piece of hardware. So have a happy new year, Mr. modog7475, you jackass. I hope it’s your last.

Did you see modog7475’s other feedback? He ripped off a 6 year old kid. Nice guy.
