He’s doing much better now…

Brian Wilson, as everyone knows (right?), was the driving force behind the Beach Boys. And, as most everyone knows, had some, uh... tough times for the a bit (30 years). But, he's doing muchbetter now. I got a chance to see him in concert about 3 years ago - he opened for Paul Simon at Summerfest in 2001. That was his first tour since the early 70's. This article over at Yahoo! talks about the cicumstances leading up to it, but the big news is that Wilson has recently finished, and released an album that was supposed to be the Beach Boys followup to Pet Sounds - SMiLE. Pet Sounds

Some lively conversation over (many) drinks at the Trocadero last night with a few of the fellas - politics, giant spiders, el Chupacabra, and real estate were some of the keynote topics. Things got a little heated at one point, but I think everyone is going to be OK. Later on, we popped upstairs to the Red Light. Conversation turned to music, specifically, Andy's bizarre preoccupation with Bob Dylan. Apparently, he's listened exclusively to Dylan for the last few months -- nothing else.
