I am so hoping he joins Wade and Bosh in Miami, I’m tired of rooting against the Celtics and Lakers. By the way, what’s the NBA record for most-minutes-played-in-a-season? Because all three of them are going to have to break that if they hope to make it to the Finals.
After walking home in the pouring rain (twice!) a few weeks ago, I thought it would be a good idea to drop an umbrella in my Jack Sack.
Sadly, I didn’t remember that I was carrying it until I got about a block from home tonight, during the 30 minute downpour we got from 6-6:30.

I got schooled at ping pong this weekend. Which is appropriate, because Claire is a teacher.

So I ordered my new iPhone 4 this morning.
Something that I just started considering… much of the buzz about the new phone is the “Retina Display”. It’s a much higher resolution screen than the original iPhone (960x640 vs 320×480). In an ideal world, every app developer had created their GUI elements as vector art, not pixelated bitmaps. iPhone-standard UI elements...

Recipe: Zucchini, Mint and Yogurt Spread |... →
I made this as a side-dish last night, served with some warm naan bread. Very good! I added some feta to the mix, and next time I would add more zucchini.
I was stopped by a little old man out for a walk at lunch. He wanted to let me know that the Brewers were a “hot weather team” and that maybe the turn in the weather would help them out. He also wanted to know where I got my hamburger.
I didn’t have the heart to tell him that (a) I don’t give a rat’s ass about baseball, and (b) it was a ham sandwich.
There IS an extra scene after credits of Iron Man 2, if anyone is interested

Should I have bought that Apple Product? →
This actually makes me a little sick to my stomach to read. I had a G3 that would now be worth $200K in stock, and my Titanium Powerbook G4 at $220K. So what’s the lesson learned? Buy Apple stock with every Apple product?
NCAA on verge of 68-team men's tournament - ESPN →
This is such good news! The NCAA tournament is my favorite sporting event — why mess with it? They had been talking about expanding to 96 teams, which was ridiculous. Also, there had been rumors that ESPN might try and step in to snatch the TV rights away from CBS; that’s not happening, either.

I took the elevator up to the 4th floor of Bay View high school with a friend. We were on our way to buy a couch for Leonard Nimoy from one of the gym teachers, Mrs. Kay. When we got there, I told her that I had a check from Leonard, which I produced. She looked it over and said, “That’s twice he’s saved your ass, now”.
At which point I woke up and saw that the clock read...

Alfred App →
If Quicksilver is overkill, and you’re not all that impressed with Google Quick Search Box… I’d recommend giving Alfred a try. It’s lightweight, quick, and has a good-looking UI. Oh, and get a Mac.
Hayward finishes third in dunk contest - JSOnline →
Maybe if he hadn’t settled for crazy 3’s and fade-aways and taken it to the rim, he wouldn’t have been sitting home watching the rest of the tournament.

"Bucks claim victory as Nuggets go cold late" →
Really? That’s the game in a nutshell? Thanks for the respek, ESPN. The Bucks took that game, they didn’t have it handed to them. If anything, they had to beat the Nuggets AND the refs.

Next Year?
That MU/UW game last night was a heartbreaker. Incredible first 20 minutes, both teams lit it up. Marquette stormed out to open the 2nd half, and then Washington couldn’t miss for the next 5 minutes. A tough way to end the season, again.
So what about next year? Two initial thoughts:
Buh-bye, Lazar. I’m tired of watching him jack up crazy 3-pointers. I’m tired of seeing...
I’m at the last NBA game in The History that isn’t televised. Hopefully it’s a Bucks win

Am I living on borrowed time with my Black Macbook? The fan has been making a lot of noise lately, but the drive seems ok. Of course, they all do until they fail.
I absolutely scared the crap out of some girl on the way home from work tonight.
I was crossing the street by Cafe Brucke, and there were several cars lined up on Windsor waiting to make a left onto Prospect. I started across Windsor as the first car made his turn — and just as I got to the halfway point the second car was going to blow through the stop sign and follow him. She had to stop...
In less than a week I’ll be laying on a beach horribly sunburned/hungover and enjoying every minute of it.
