Anyone who’s seen me over the last 3 months may have noticed an abnormal growth of hair attached to my facial area. It started when I spent two weeks working from home in early July. Here’s a photo of my beard in its early stage of development:
That’s about three full weeks of growth. In contrast, here’s a shot of my beard from Labor Day weekend:
With summer drawing to a close, the beard has run its course. I decided to go clean and shave it off this weekend, and also to document it.
If you’ve never shaved off a good full beard before, I’ll let you know that you do it in stages. I started by cutting it down with a pair of scissors, then moved to trimming with a clippers, and then onto the razor. Start to finish, about 45 minutes.
In the midst of the process, I thought I’d try something out:
WHY did I not do that earlier?! That looks*so* boss.
Anyways, there you have it. Buh-bye, beard. I’m not saying that there’s any correlation between my shaving and the change in the weather (50’s and rainy today), just that it’s some kind of weird coincidence… or is it?

I miss it already, but you did lose a bet.
A Black Cow IS another name for a root beer shake.
WINNER!

I’m sorry, Chuck, but as a former “Wilson Girl” I have to disagree. I spent three long summers making various ice cream drinks for the tourists in Door County, and a root beer float is a black cow. A root beer shake is root beer syrup, ice cream and milk.
With that said, I like Bryan’s face with or without facial hair, so I guess it doesn’t really matter.
