Yeah, that’s right… Perry Frickin’ Ferrell. Thanks to a quick heads-up from Judy, I was able to make it over to Beans & Barley this afternoon for a free show in their parking lot. Satellite Party is playing at the Pabst tonight, and they’re apparently trying to drum up some interest in the show - I saw someone walking around handing out tickets.
Anyways, it was fun. Instead of walking home for lunch, as I usually do, I got over there and decided to grab a sandwich inside. Perry was walking around with a cup of tea, checking things out. As I was waiting for my order, he strolled right by me with someone - I said “Lolla was fun”, but I don’t think he was listening.
They played a few songs from their new album - which I really don’t care for. Then Perry told everyone how nice B&B was for letting them use the parking lot, and that “these cats really have their stuff together - good food that’s good for you. Go inside and check it out - just don’t steal anything”. With that, they broke into “Been Caught Stealing”.
(I recorded a little video snippet, which I’ll post when I get home)
One Comment
Actually, I won’t be posting that video.
Sprint wants $5 (American) a month to subscribe to their photo sharing service. Considering the quality of photos my phone takes, that’s insane. My other choice was to plug the phone into my PC via a USB connection, but the driver isn’t compatible with my system.
