I posted last week about some links to various Lost websites. One of them was to “The Hanso Foundation” website.
Just to get you up to speed… in an episode of Lost a few weeks ago (titled “Orientation”), it was revealed that “The Hatch” was the entrance into a bunker, which was built and staffed by Dharma Industries. Dharma is a project of The Hanso Foundation. I just found a hidden link on the Hanso Foundation website to the orientation film that was shown in that episode.
The first hidden tidbit I’ve been pointed to is that if you try to access the Hanso Foundation “Secure” website (https instead of http), you get a page that reads “bigspaceship1.com”. Then, if you enter that address into your web browser, you’ll see a “flash” movie that seems to change daily. Most of the movies I’ve seen there feature a polar bear and some odd background music or white noise.
Now, the title of the page at “bigspaceship1.com” looks like a bunch of gibberish:

I ignored it initially, but after taking another look at it, I realized that it was morse code. I’m a little rusty, so I found a Morse Code Translator, and found that it tranlates to:
“IN GIRUM IMUS NOCTE ET CONSUMIMUR IGNI”
At a glance, it looks like Latin to me. So, I found a Latin Tranlator online and went to work:
* IN : into, toward, against
* GIRUM : to bring forth, bear, beget, father
* IMUS you and I see, we are seeing
* NOCTE : night
* ET: both, and
* CONSUMIMUR: to add together, sum up, make perfect, complete
* IGNI: fire
If you do a Google search for that phrase, you’ll find a webpage that does a little interpretation of the english tranlation. The author also points out that the phrase is a palindrome! Anyways, the bottom line is that it roughly translates to:
“We go into the circle by night; We are consumed by fire“, or “We spin around the night we are consumed by the fire“
Spaceship? Consumed by fire? Crazy shit. Now, tie that back to the Hanso Foundation website’s listing of their Active Projects, one of which is the “Hanso Quest for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence”
My dad’s theory after the first few episodes was that the island was actually a spaceship, ala “Dark City“. I hadn’t given it a whole lot of thought at the time, but it’s sounding more credible.

If you notice the Morse Code on BigSpaceShip1 changes Daily if not every so many hours or minutes, I haven’t timed these changes. You do http://bigspaceship1.org you will come to another page about the EM Research Initiative Project. Note in the quote by Williams Shakespeare the word degrees. You will also notice the 108 inside of a pentagon….the internal angles of a pentagon are 108 Degrees the External angles are 540 Degrees…coincidence…I think not…every 540 days the teams were supposed to switch out….here’s something for you to chew on. :)

was reading on your web site that he took the header from the spaceship1.com web site that has nurmous dots and dashes and it created a latin expression. I was observing the darama logo with the arrow and there is no pattern with the long and short dashes. I wonder if there could be a secret morse code within the logo?
