Jack Nicklaus just sank a 14-foot putt for birdie on the 18th hole of the Old Course at St. Andrews - the final golf shot of his professional career. After his tee shot, he took a few minutes to stand on the Swilcan Bridge and pose for photos with his son/caddy and say goodbye to the crowd. Thanks Jack. I'll think of you every time I swing my "Golden Bear" brand lob wedge.
The timing is a little bit odd, but tonight marks the return of "Battlestar Galactica" on the Sci-Fi channel. I've written about it before, but I'd would have to say that it is, hands down, one of the 3 best series on television right now. And, probably the best sci-fi series *ever* done. There are so many things that make this show great: topical and thought-provoking plots, fantastic writing, great effects, and a great cast. It's also got one of the best characters around right now, Dr. Gaius Baltar. Anyways, it's fantastic stuff.
