World Travelers
Our good friend The Chuck is still overseas, I think in Paris at the moment. No word on if he’s called Les from a cell phone yet.
I also just learned that my brother and his girlfriend left yesterday for a 10-day visit to Japan. I don’t have any details, other than the fact they’re staying somewhere about an hour out of Tokyo. Mom mentioned that they were studying their English-Japanese translation guide on the ride to the airport.
Barry’s trip is sort of ironic for me, in that I was just talking to Les about traveling overseas. Although I’d love to see Europe (Spain, in particular), my #1 destination would be Japan. I love the food, am intruiged by the culture, and from what I’ve seen of the architecture and landscape, it’s a beautiful country. So to say that I’m a little jealous is an understatement.

Sounds like a sibling rivalry issue that could be addressed at some sort of Festivus event…along with a little Greco-Roman wrestling.
