Mom & I had one of our casino nights last night. Typically, we’ll play a little, have some dinner, and then play a little bit more, before I drive her over to meet Dad at the bowling alley. This time, we ended up playing straight through.
It was a fun table. When we sat down, there was a couple at the first 2 spots, an opening at the third, an older gentleman at fourth, a weird french guy at fifth, and we took the last two (which is where I prefer to play). Weird french guy was playing pretty heavy - he bought in for $500, his first bet was $250, which he ended up doubling on, and won (for those of you not too keen on the math, he raked in $1000 on that hand). Nice guy. The other people were nice, too, which is why we played straight through - you don’t want to funk up any ju-ju going on at the table.
Mom & I started out pretty well, both of us were up close to $100. A few people jumped out and new people in, and the table changed for a while. At one point, I was down to my last $20. It picked back up for *me*, but not for mom. It was getting close to leaving time, so we decided to play one more hand. I put down $50, and she played $15, and we both got blackjacks. Nice way to leave. I was up about $225 on the night, which was also nice.
